The LSA International Internship Program helps place University of Michigan undergraduate students in international internship positions for short-term summer work. We will help you obtain a position, prepare for your trip abroad, register you with M-Compass travel registry, help you obtain health insurance, stay in touch while you are away, and help you prepare to market your experience once you get home. We will also provide support for students who are able to find their own placement.
The first step is to choose a position to which you would like to apply. We partner with trusted organizations around the world to place students in internships. Please browse the internship positions, grouped by country on the navigation bar to the right, and decide which positions appeal to you. Next, apply for position through our M-Compass application (see button below).

If you are applying to a French or Spanish-speaking internship, you will need to submit an English resume as well as a resume in French or Spanish.
Application timeline and deadlines:
- October 8th 2015: Applications are open
- December 1st 2015: International Internship Program Application closes
- April 7th 2016: India Internship Initiative Application closes
- February-March 2016: Placements are offered and confirmed
